I will have a substitute teacher for the first two weeks of school. During the summer it was necessary for me to undergo an unplanned surgery and my recovery time will extend into the first two weeks of school.
My substitute for these two weeks will be Ms. Kelsey Lemmond. I have every confidence in her ability to teach my students during my absence and I will be in constant contact with her about what is happening in the classroom and I'll be helping her prepare for each day.
I am expecting to have some interaction with my students via Skype until I return. That is exciting! I look forward to meeting all my students and returning to the classroom on Monday, September 9th. I'm also hopeful to meet my student's parents during Smith Open House night on Tuesday, September 10th.
